Beautiful hotel and grounds, quiet country estate. Large, spacious room, very comfortable bed and pillows, great shower with good water pressure and hot water, river view, nice pool and sauna, plenty of free on-site parking. They have an outdoor pool, tennis courts, racquet ball court, bocce, basketball court, gym with cardio equipment and weights, and fire pits. The hotel is kind of a maze but isn't hard to navigate once you do it once. It’s a 10 min drive to downtown Tarrytown which is very quaint with shops and restaurants and a lovely riverside park with a view of the bridge. It’s a short drive to Sleepy Hollow and to the cemetery to see grave of Washington Irving. The closest MetroNorth train station is Irvington which is a 6 min drive and on a Saturday afternoon there was plenty of free parking. Looked like free 6 hr parking Monday through Friday until 6pm, but no time limit on Saturdays and Sundays. Train ride into the city was an hour. If you take the train from Tarrytown, you can get an express train which is 45 mins. Tickets were easy to buy at the kiosk, I think it was about $10 per person. The train goes right into Grand Central which is a 10 min walk to Times Square and Broadway. Breakfast is not included but can be added on for $25 each. There was a surprise, inexplicable $10/night fee upon check-in which was weird/annoying. I thought we had paid everything up front through Booking.com so just take that into account.

The room was comfortable, the water was hot, there was sufficient lighting in the room that I could see when I was working or reading or getting tomorrow's outfit ready. We found the ice machine and were able to buy sodas and water at the little shop in the hotel lobby. We had everything we needed. I was excited about the grounds around the hotel, but it rained throughout our entire stay, so I didn't get to explore or walk like I had hoped and planned. One evening we saw some fire pits that had been lit for an event, and we wished that there was a space like that for regular guests so that we would not have to just sit in our room, but we were pretty busy and didn't have much time for that anyway.

The hotel was separate from the fantastic bar and eatery which is next door. The food and drink was amazing and a good mix of clients drinking and eating. The staff overall were exceptional going beyond the standard duties of standard hotel staff. We stayed i the grounds of the Hotel which was very good, quite comfy and away from the main place, brilliant. I would easily stay here again and as I am from the UK its in a perfect location to explore the surrounding area with plenty to see...

Got a king room and got unexpected little guests 😊 It was easy change up on rooms and was placed closer to pool area. Perfect! Grounds were beautiful check in was easy. And the pool was perfect for dip. The gym was perfect and had everything needed for a full body work out not just cardio galore. Wish it wasn't raining to enjoy walking the property but it looked beautiful. Perfect for romantic night for two or family fun. Overall a great place to stay.

The grounds were beautiful! My sister was thrilled that we could bring her dog to the hotel and many places in town. We loved the firepit that we sat at and had a great night out on the patio of one of the areas. We had a great time!! The hotel is historical and close to all the area attractions!!
